"Lost Coast Birds."
This image was created while flying in a helicopter from Juneau, Alaska, to
Cordova, Alaska. We took the less-traveled route along the so-called "Lost
Coast"—one of Alaska's most remote areas. As we turned the corner and
started flying along the beach, wave after wave of seagulls filled the sky
and nearly blacked out the ocean below.

In 2009 Shaun White spent months training on a privately owned halfpipe in Silverton,
Colorado, learning new tricks that helped him win his second Olympic Games gold
medal. Brain Farm Digital Cinema came in to film the helicopter angles and got about
as close they could before White would get engulfed in the rotor wash (air stirred up as
a result of the helicopter's rotor).

Professional skateboarder Rodney Mullen doesn't always enjoy the
limelight. The originator of the kick-flip, a staple in any skateboarder's
bag of tricks, often skates solo-away from prying eyes-in the middle of
the night in parking garages, empty warehouses and,as in this shot, a
shipping container. El Segundo, California, at 10 pm.
